I’ve never had a problem with this using a gas stove, but now I’ve moved to an apartment, and it has an electric stove. Any advice about this is appreciated. Thanks.

How do you clean a commercial stove top?

January 21st, 2012
Scott P asked:

My Church has a commercial stove top and I have tried cleaning it with vinegar and lemon juice. This was suggestion given to me. I just made a mess. Help!
I am trying to help my husband get an answer so here goes…..I am one of the cooks at our church. tThey have just installed this griddle/stove brand new. There must be some type of protective “film” of greasy material applied by manufacturer. We have been told NOT to use anything like Dawn soap. The lemon juice works if the griddle is hot and we use a LOT of it. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated!!!!

My stove went out, and I was wondering how many days do I give the landlord to fix it before I take other measures. I have two children that live with me, and I do most of the cooking on the stove.

January 2nd, 2012
curiousin08 asked:

when we moved into our house, there was no stove, so we used the stove from our old home. BUT… the stove is about 2 inches narrower than the spot where it has to sit so there are gaps on either side. it doesnt really look that great and things fall down between the stove and cabinets. does anyone have any suggestions besides buying a new stove??? thanks in advance!

Is it possible to have a kitchen remodeled on a REALLY low budget?

December 10th, 2011
pemn asked:

Need to have our kitchen remodeled and have no idea where to start. I’m guessing any contractor or kitchen remodeler would probably laugh in my face…but is it possible to have a 40 yr-old kitchen remodeled for under $25,000 and get good quality cabinets, new fridge, new dishwasher, new built-in oven, sink and stove top, new countertops and some recessed or in some way enhanced, lighting? And replace existing ceramic tile floor with either hardwood or laminate flooring? The work area is about 10 ft long X 8 ft deep. The eating area is about 9 ft X 11 ft. If this is totally unrealistic, what’s the approximate minimum we’d need to accomplish this? Has anyone attempted this on such a budget?

How do I keep my kitchen from getting greasy?

December 10th, 2011
Rob asked:

My girlfriend and I just moved into a new apartment, and it’s great, especially the kitchen. The only thing is, that since it is in an older building, the kitchen does not have a grease fan. Our old place had this same issue, and often, there would be a film of grease on everything, especially if we cooked a lot. We are almost afraid to cook in our new kitchen for fear of this problem. Is there a way to prevent this from happenning, in that cleaning off this grease is very dificult and time consuming.
