I am trying to help my husband get an answer so here goes…..I am one of the cooks at our church. tThey have just installed this griddle/stove brand new. There must be some type of protective “film” of greasy material applied by manufacturer. We have been told NOT to use anything like Dawn soap. The lemon juice works if the griddle is hot and we use a LOT of it. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated!!!!

BUT… the stove is about 2 inches narrower than the spot where it has to sit so there are gaps on either side. it doesnt really look that great and things fall down between the stove and cabinets. does anyone have any suggestions besides buying a new stove??? thanks in advance!

And replace existing ceramic tile floor with either hardwood or laminate flooring? The work area is about 10 ft long X 8 ft deep. The eating area is about 9 ft X 11 ft. My girlfriend and I just moved into a new apartment, and it’s great, especially the kitchen. The only thing is, that since it is in an older building, the kitchen does not have a grease fan. Our old place had this same issue, and often, there would be a film of grease on everything, especially if we cooked a lot. We are almost afraid to cook in our new kitchen for fear of this problem. Is there a way to prevent this from happenning, in that cleaning off this grease is very dificult and time consuming.
