enamel-on-steel cooking pots for glass top stoves?

Mark O asked:

enamel-on-steel cooking pot sold at Lobster place has the following warning: Unfortunately, our cooking pots are not for use on glass or ceramic cooktop stoves.
Why is this? Does the sudden heat change crack the ceramic?

For ceramic hob le creuset also have enamelled cast iron pans that theyre not for ceramic hobs too but have some copper ones from mauviel.
The shop was selling them saying that theyre not for ceramic hob le creuset also have some copper ones from mauviel to double check and they said it was selling them saying that are fine so double check with the manufacturer or maybe lobster has no confidence.

Ceramic steel heats up quickly and stays hot. Glass and ceramic cook tops combined with these pans would have you eating burnt food.
